COURSE OBJECTIVES
This course provides the required skills and knowledge to safely work at heights. The course covers hazard control when working at heights, the forces generated in falls, specific hazards such as the pendulum effect, swing back and suspension trauma. This course also illustrates the selection, inspection, application and maintenance of anchor points, harnesses, and other height safety equipment as well as addressing other height safety topics such as ladders, temporary scaffolds and working in elevated work platforms (not including WP certification). This course is suitable for any individual who is required work at heights.

Please note: The course may be completed within a shorter or longer time frame depending on the experience and number of those in attendance.
COURSE CONTENT
This course is based on the requirements outlined in the Regulations, Codes of Practice and Standards applicable to any person required to work at heights for any reason and includes:

Knowledge assessment and practical demonstration of skills
PRE-REQUISITES
All persons must have good English literacy skills.
CERTIFICATION
Upon successful completion, participants will be issued with the following nationally recognised Statement of Attainment;
WHAT TO WEAR
All course participants are required to wear appropriate work attire. Closed in shoes are a requirement for attendance on any course.
MORNING TEA
Coffee, tea and biscuits will be provided throughout the day. Fridge and microwave facilities are also available.
